Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Data Links
Cubic specializes in high speed data links that transmit Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance data and video. Our Common Data Link (CDL) products are verified by the Joint Interoperability Test Command to comply with the CDL waveform specifications. That means Cubic’s data links are interoperable with any Common Data Link (CDL) terminal. Our data links enable any airborne platform—manned or unmanned—to communicate with other military assets in the air, at sea, or on the ground. With Cubic’s high-speed video and data transmissions, warfighters gain information superiority over adversaries.
We adapt our air- and ground-based terminals for:
- Ships
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)
- Man portable terminals
- Surface terminals
- Add-on kits to give CDL capability to existing radios
In connection with our CDL product development, Cubic creates specialized components like no-moving-parts antennas and high-efficiency and multiple band capable radio frequency components including frequency converters, amplifiers, filters, and complete assemblies.
Search and Rescue Avionics
U.S. and allied combat search and rescue crews rely upon Cubic’s Personnel Locator System (PLS) to help them covertly retrieve and provide assistance to downed military personnel behind enemy lines. Cubic’s system is the standard system carried onboard helicopters used for close air support.
Communication & Signal Intelligence Products
Cubic designs, manufactures, and provides communication products adaptable for a wide range of defense and homeland security applications. Our high frequency power amplifiers, direction finders, receivers, and transmitters perform multiple functions. They enhance intelligence collection, provide secure position location information, and employ adaptive signal jamming technologies aimed at disrupting enemy communications.
Military and civilian organizations use Cubic’s high frequency amplifiers to ensure a reliable backup to restore connectivity should a satellite or other terrestrial system breakdown.
