Ground Combat Training Systems
Cubic provides live ground combat maneuver training solutions for training and mission rehearsal exercises. Our systems create a realistic battlefield environment for troops to sustain and improve upon their advanced tactical engagement skills against an opposing force. The training is conducted in the field, providing a high level of realism, enforcing correct procedures, and yielding outcomes that would be expected in actual operations.
We adapt our systems for specific training needs of U.S. and allied forces. Our systems are in use at homestations, ground combat training centers, deployed locations, Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT) sites, and interface with Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training domains.
Cubic’s turnkey ground combat maneuvering training systems include several of our core technologies. Our GPS-based instrumentation for soldiers and vehicles, laser- and radio-based weapons simulations, range instrumentation system, and exercise control/after action review system enable troops to conduct, monitor, and control live simulation training exercises in real time, and replay them for post exercise debriefing.
During field exercises, troops and vehicles are equipped with our MILES and player instrumentation systems. Direct fire weapons are simulated with lasers and indirect weapons may be radio- or laser- based, providing localized area effects for weapons such as artillery/mortars, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), mines, and grenades. The addition of radio/GPS instrumentation provides a perspective of the whole training range, allowing real-time viewing, judgment and training in the tactical aspects of an exercise.
Hit data is collected in real-time and transmitted over our player radio and microwave network to a remote Exercise Control (EXCON) computer where it is recorded and processed for evaluation and After Action Review (AAR). Our after action reviews provide reporting that enables commanders to make comparisons between combat plans and combat execution, evaluate tactical engagements as a consequence of maneuver, and assess adherence between actions taken and doctrinal procedures.
