Romania
Since
January 2001 Cubic has been supporting the Government of Romania
in their modernization and NATO accession efforts. The Romanian
Armed Forces Restructuring initiative represents a major partnership
between Cubic
and this important U.S. ally. Covering every aspect of defense reform
and shaped by an all-out effort to gain NATO membership (invited
to join NATO in November, 2002), this contract has resulted in a
fully integrated Master Restructuring Plan that supports Romania’s
modernization and NATO accession programs. All organizational and
functional areas have been and are continually analyzed by joint
Romanian and Cubic teams, and implementation/ resource plans for
positive improvement and change are developed and implemented.
Alongside our Romanian counterparts, Cubic has established a fully
functioning state of the art computer simulation training center
in Romania that promises to speed doctrinal development, is a major
part of the unit and joint training program, helps in the meeting
of NATO operational standards and provides for robust participation
in U.S., NATO and regional exercises.
Significantly, Romania has provided forces to assist the US in Afghanistan.
These forces have been well prepared, to include undergoing mission
rehearsal training in the imulation center.
