Weapons Add to EST 2000 Sales
Cubic's
Simulation Systems Division (SSD), based in Orlando is pleased
to announce it has achieved its first Lot 8 EST 2000 delivery
of 540 simulated rifles. Since weapon design efforts began in
July 2005, SSD has built over 6,000 simulated weapons. Cubic’s
current capabilities include the M16A2, M16A4, M4, M4/M203, M16/M203,
M249, M240B, M1200 shotgun, M9, M2, MK19, RPG27, LAW, 60mm Mortar,
NEGEV and AT4.
" Our ability to produce reliable, high fidelity simulated weapons has resulted
in increased small arms trainer sales to the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, the Department
of Energy and international customers,” said Terry Kohl, SSD’s general
manager.
Cubic has fielded close to 1,000 systems around the world, including Afghanistan,
Kuwait, Germany, Italy, Korea, Jordan, Israel and the United States.
