Cubic awarded contracts for new Combat Training
Center instrumentation
in Romania and Slovakia

DIEGO, Calif. – November 30, 2006 -- Cubic
Defense Applications, the defense segment of Cubic Corporation
(Amex:
CUB), has received two U.S. Army contracts with a combined
total of $13.4 million to provide mobile Combat Training
Center (CTC) instrumentation to the Romanian and Slovakian
armed forces.
Under the new, multi-year contracts with the U.S. Army Program
Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation
(PEO STRI), Cubic will supply its CTC instrumentation system
with MILES IWS and MILES 2000 Tactical Engagement Simulation
Systems to Romania and Slovakia respectively.
MILES 2000 and MILES IWS will be an integral
part of fully instrumented mobile CTCs that allow commanders
and trainers
to track all weapons engagements, communications, movements
of soldiers and weapons systems in force-on-force exercises.
Cubic’s instrumentation system will monitor and assist
in the control of participants in the live training domain,
with the capability to be linked to virtual and constructive
training domains.
