Robert Ziola Appointed Vice President Sales for
Cubic Parking Systems
Robert Ziola was appointed Vice President
of Sales following Cubic’s acquisition of Lexis
Systems’ assets and formation of Cubic Parking
Systems. Using his innovation and industry insight
combined with his proven business development success,
Ziola will be responsible for global sales of Cubic
Parking Systems.
In 1987, Robert Ziola founded Select
Services, a small parking valet services company designed
to meet the needs of the hotel and hospitality industry.
The company rapidly grew to the point that it was parking
over 80% of all vehicles for overnight hotel guests
in Vancouver. The success of Select Services led to
the formation of U-Park, a parking management division
of the company, in 1994. As the parking management
services business grew and evolved, so did the need
for unattended pay parking collection systems. This
proved to be the opportunity for U-Park to expand its
core business into developing and manufacturing parking
technology and fee collection systems — the genesis
of Lexis Systems. Since its formation in 1997, Ziola
led Lexis Systems to a culmination of $6.4 million
in revenues in 2004.
Ziola, an alumnus of the University
of British Columbia, is an active member of the Vancouver
Parking Association (VPA), Richmond Chamber of Commerce
and a popular speaker at various parking industry events
and conferences. |
