EST 2000 System:
Weapons, Exercise...
- Modified weapons are safe and cannot fire live rounds.
- Modifications include an eye-safe laser, sensors to measure trigger pressure,
cant, ammunition magazine/belt status, and status of weapon selector switches.
- Eleven weapon types with more than 800 fielded.
EST 2000 uses off the shelf and system unique software
tools for unmatched case and flexibility of training
content development.
The following exercises are currently available:
- 209 validated Marksmanship exercises from zeroing through
record fire.
- 178 Squad collective tactical exercises with 3D animated OPFOR
troops and vehicles in woodland, desert, urban or
mountain terrain.
- 40 video-based, live action, judgmental scenarios for
Military Police and infantry.
In collective exercises, human models (i.e. soldiers and civilians) are realistically
articulated and reactive to trainee fire. Over 20 other targets, such as tanks
and planes, are included in the delivered scenarios. Modifications to scenarios
are possible through the embedded scenario editor. Instructors can also change
environmental effects such as snow, rain, and smoke, and vary between daylight
and low light conditions.
- A 24 hour, 7 day/week, toll-free help line is posted on each instructor
station (1.866.889.5974). E-mail Bill Giangrande: bill.giangrande@cubic.com
- On-board modem provided for remote diagnostics performed real
time.
