William J. Toti

William J. Toti is president of the Cubic Global Defense business segment and senior vice president of Cubic Corporation.
Prior to joining Cubic, Toti served as vice president and account executive for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps accounts for HP Enterprise Services.
Before joining HP, Toti was vice president of Mission Support Operations at Raytheon Company. Toti also served more than 26 years in the U.S. Navy.
Toti holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master of Science degree in Spacecraft Systems Engineering and a Predoctoral Electrical Engineering degree from the Naval Postgraduate School.
David R. Schmitz
Executive Vice President for Strategy
David R. Schmitz is executive vice president of Strategy for Cubic Global Defense.
Previously he served as Cubic Defense Systems’ president and chief operating officer.
Before joining Cubic in July 2012, Schmitz held the position of vice president and general manager for Cobham Sensor System Microwave products.
Schmitz graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mechanics. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University.
Ruth Van Sickle
Executive Vice President, Integration and Competitiveness
Ruth Van Sickle is the executive vice president, Integration and Competitiveness for Cubic Global Defense.
Van Sickle joined Cubic in 1994 when Cubic acquired Titan Corporation’s Applications Division. At Titan, she was responsible for Contracts, Human Resources, Purchasing and Security in the Titan Systems business segment.
Prior to joining Titan in 1986, she held positions with two other defense contractors.
Van Sickle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Mary Washington and a Master of Business Administration from Marymount University of Virginia.
Michael R. Twyman
Executive Vice President for Training and Communications Systems
Michael R. Twyman is executive vice president for Training and Communications Systems for Cubic Global Defense.
Before joining Cubic in June 2014, Twyman worked more than 30 years at Northrop Grumman in a variety of leadership roles including sector vice president and general manager of the Defense Systems division, vice president of Integrated C3I Systems, vice president of Joint Network Systems and vice president of Communication and Information Systems.
Twyman graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mechanics. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from George Mason University.
Raymond C. Barker
Executive Vice President, Integrated Training Solutions
Raymond C. Barker is executive vice president, Integrated Training Solutions for Cubic Global Defense.
Before joining Cubic in November 1997, Barker held a variety of executive leadership roles at Tracor Flight Systems Inc. including group vice president of Business Development and vice president of Operations and Business Development. Barker also served as director of Business Development for the Electro-Optical Systems Division of Loral Corp.
Barker attended California State University Long Beach, West Coast University and University of Southern California with coursework in Physics and Business Administration.
Senior Vice President, Army and Marine Corps Services
Keith Cooper is senior vice president, Army and Marine Corps Services for Cubic Global Defense.
Cooper joins Cubic from Raytheon, where he served as a business development executive and director of Logistics and Training for the Mission Support Operations product line.
Prior to his industry career, Cooper served for 26 years as an infantryman in the U.S. Army, including brigade command of Task Force Sinai in Egypt, and chief of staff of the 1st Infantry Division.
Cooper earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point; a Master of Science in Mathematics from the Colorado School of Mines; a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix; and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University.
Christopher G. Bellios
Senior Vice President, Defense and Intelligence Services
Bellios is a seasoned executive in the Intelligence Community with 30 years of experience including serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and as a leader in the Federal Government. Prior to joining Cubic, he was vice president of Operations for a $320 million business at BAE Systems concentrating on Intelligence Analysis and Operations as well as serving as the Integration Lead for major business sectors.
Bellios holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Mary Washington College and a Master of Business Administration from Averett University. His professional credentials include executive leadership training at the Oxford Business School in the U.K.
William C. David
Vice President and Program Manager, Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC)
William C. David is vice president and program manager, Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) for Cubic Global Defense.
David returns to Cubic as program manager after a two year hiatus, having previously served as program manager for 10 years from 2003 to 2013.
David is a retired one-star infantry U.S. Army officer. He led the "Blackhawk Down" rescue of Task Force Ranger in Mogadishu, Somalia, and was a commander in 101st Airborne Division during the ground assault into Iraq during Operation Desert Storm.
A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, David also holds a Master of Science degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of South Carolina. David is a senior service college graduate of the U.S. Army War College Fellowship at the University of Pittsburg.
Vice President for Special Operations Services
Bo Todd is vice president for Special Operations Services for Cubic Global Defense.
For three years previously, Todd was the critical infrastructure protection and anti-terrorism/force protection deputy project lead to the U.S. Northern Command.
Todd retired from the U.S. Army as a Special Operations Forces sergeant major after serving 22 years. He possesses a wealth of special operations, interagency, and international experience.
He is an internationally recognized instructor with the Professionals in Critical Infrastructure Protection training program as well as an expert analyst, previously developing and directing operations for forces with the U.S. Special Operations Command.
Todd earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Regent College.
Vice President, Business Development
Anthony Verna is vice president of Business Development for Cubic Global Defense.
Prior to joining Cubic, Verna held several senior executive leadership positions of increasing responsibility with CACI/Paradigm Solutions Corporation, ManTech International and Northrop Grumman.
Verna graduated from Thomas Edison State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in Computer Information Systems.
Robert D. Grunewald
Vice President, Business Operations
Robert ‘Doug’ Grunewald is vice president of Business Operations for Cubic Global Defense.
Previously he held a series of positions of increasing responsibility providing both products and services to customers in the U.S. and allied nations worldwide.
Before joining Cubic in 1997, Grunewald served as an engineer in the unmanned space launch vehicle industry for Lockheed Martin.
Grunewald graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Vice President of Human Resources
Kimberly S. Hartsoch is vice president of Human Resources for the Cubic Global Defense business segment.
Previously she served as vice president of Human Resources for Cubic’s Mission Support Services segment.
Hartsoch joined Cubic as part of an acquisition from Titan Corporation. In 1993, she joined the Titan Applications Group of the Titan Corporation.
Hartsoch received her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certificate from the HR Certification Institute in May 2002. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Psychology with emphasis in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior from the University of Washington.
Joseph D. Guarino
Vice President, Controller
Joseph D. Guarino is vice president and controller of Cubic Global Defense.
Previously he served as vice president of Finance and Controller of Cubic’s Mission Support Services.
Before joining Cubic in March 2007, Guarino served as division chief financial officer of the Advanced Systems Division of Titan Corporation (later acquired by L-3 Communications).
Guarino holds a Certified Public Accountant license in the state of California. He graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
David R. McAfee
Vice President, Quality
David R. McAfee is vice president, Quality of the Cubic Global Defense business segment.
McAfee has held a series of positions of increasing responsibility at Cubic including director of Engineering, senior director of Systems Engineering and Engineering Support and vice president of Product Assurance.
Prior to joining the company in 1995, McAfee served as a Systems Engineering manager at Hughes Aircraft Company (later acquired by Raytheon).
McAfee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of California Los Angeles.
