Cubic’s FMVDL solution is designed to be low-risk and cost-effective, fitting seamlessly into the aircraft's existing Communications, Navigation and Identification (CNI) subsystem. The software-defined, radio-based VDL solution features high-performance processing that can support future live video enhancements, while minimizing size, weight, power and cooling (SWAP-C). This system allows the F-35 to share sensor data and metadata with multiple ground or airborne units, enhancing mission effectiveness.
